George Simion, the leader of AUR, is in the United States, where he was awarded at the meeting of the 'Republicans for National Renewal' group for his work in defending freedom of expression and democracy in Europe. In his speech, Simion emphasized that the award is dedicated to Romanians who fight for the right to live in a democracy, similar to that of the USA.

He highlighted the importance of free and fair elections, mentioning that ECR is the most pro-transatlantic party in Europe. The AUR delegation presented a report to the US Congress, highlighting the annulment of the presidential elections in Romania and the violations of democratic principles. Simion had scheduled meetings in Washington to inform Romania's strategic partners.
