A public investigation published by Cultura reveals that the manuscripts of George Enescu, along with other treasures from the Heritage, have been kept in containers in the courtyard of the Cantacuzino Palace, the headquarters of the National Museum 'George Enescu', for over four years. The consolidation works of the museum, started in 2021, have been blocked for more than two years, and the items have been exposed to extreme weather conditions, including cold and humidity. According to the source, the containers do not comply with legal standards for storing heritage, and some items have been damaged. The museum's management stated that information about the storage is not public, but after the article was published, the Minister of Culture, András Demeter, announced an investigation by the Control Body.
