A woman from Galati was shot by her boyfriend with a non-lethal pistol and seriously injured. The man was arrested for domestic violence.

The incident happened on July 28 in Cosmești, when the 49-year-old man used a pellet gun to shoot his girlfriend in the legs. The victim was taken to hospital for medical care and the assailant was remanded in custody for 30 days. The investigation revealed that he was not legally in possession of the gun and he was charged with domestic violence and weapons violations.
