The law promulgated by President Nicușor Dan allows free HPV vaccination for all young people up to the age of 26, in line with WHO recommendations. It aims to complement existing legislation, helping to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. The bill was passed by the Senate on May 7, 2025, aiming to increase vaccination coverage by fully compensating for the vaccine.
