The Ministry of Defense confirmed the presence of drone fragments with explosive payload in the Tuzla beach area, Constanța County, neutralized by the EOD team.

The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) announced that, on August 22, the EOD combat divers team from the Romanian Naval Forces intervened in the Tuzla beach area, Constanța County, to assess drone fragments reported through a 112 emergency call.

Checks confirmed the presence of an explosive device, which was neutralized through controlled detonation, under safe conditions. Initial investigations suggest that the fragments originated from a Ukrainian-manufactured drone. The case has been taken over by the Prosecutor's Office next to the Constanța Court of Appeal for further investigation. The MApN intervention underscores the importance of rapid response to such threats.
