Four people from Giurgiu are under investigation for drug trafficking on suspicion of smuggling more than two kilograms of cocaine from Spain.

The four defendants, three men and a woman aged between 29 and 72, are suspected of procuring and smuggling into the country 2.3 kilograms of cocaine hidden in two pillows. The drugs were to be sold in Giurgiu county and Bucharest. Prosecutors ordered their detention and proposed their remand in custody for 30 days.
