Marius Moise, former judicial police officer within the DNA and later head of service at IGPR, has been definitively acquitted by the Bucharest Court of Appeal in the case in which he was accused of bribery, using information not intended for publicity, and favoring the perpetrator.

The court rejected the appeals of the DNA and Moise against the decision of the Bucharest Tribunal, which established that the facts do not exist. Regarding the accusation of bribery, the court concluded that the act of demanding was not proven, and the information used was not part of the defendant's job responsibilities. Additionally, the whistleblower stated that he learned about the case from another person, not from Moise.

The court emphasized the lack of substance of the non-public information and considered that, although Moise had questionable conduct, it does not correspond to the legal model of incrimination. Moise was sent to trial in 2021, being accused of having demanded undue benefits to facilitate the obtaining of contracts for a businessman.
