A 49-year-old foreign citizen was detained after driving a truck erratically on the A1, having a blood alcohol level of 2.67 g/l.

A 49-year-old foreign citizen was detained by police on the A1 Highway after being reported for erratic driving. The incident was reported by a resident of Sibiu, and the police intercepted the truck at kilometer 230, in the area of the locality of Săliște. During the breathalyzer test, the driver had a value of 1.07 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, and blood tests confirmed a blood alcohol concentration of 2.67 g/l.


Following this incident, the man was detained for 24 hours and taken to the Deva Center for Detention and Preventive Arrest. The police continue investigations under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sibiu Court.
