Labor Minister Florin Manole tells employees who are required to work overtime without being paid not to accept the situation and to notify the Territorial Labor Inspectorates (ITM).

The minister's message addresses situations in which employers request work beyond regular hours without respecting employees' wage rights. Florin Manole recommends that those affected contact the competent institutions, which can verify compliance with labor legislation and order the measures provided by law.

The minister has not yet provided details about the number of reported cases or about specific inspections launched as a result of these complaints. The recommendation comes in the context of employers' obligations to pay for and record working time, while employees should not be forced to accept working overtime without compensation.

Employees facing such problems are encouraged to keep the relevant documents and evidence and to notify the Territorial Labor Inspectorate in the county where they work.
