Heavy rains have caused flooding at the Praid Salina, where the temporary dam has collapsed, flooding the construction site and damaging the piping system. Harghita prefecture announced emergency works to restore the dam. Economy Minister Radu Miruță warned of the risks of the mine ceiling collapsing, which could cause an environmental impact. The possibility of creating an artificial salt lake as a new tourist attraction is also being analyzed.
