A firefighter from Satu Mare has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days for three counts of sexual assault against a minor.

An active firefighter from Satu Mare has been placed in preventive arrest for 30 days, starting from July 29, 2026, for committing three sexual assault offenses against a minor, in a continuous form.

The decision was made by the judge of rights and freedoms at the Cluj Military Tribunal, who accepted the proposal of the Military Prosecutor's Office. The judge considered that preventive arrest is necessary to ensure the proper conduct of the criminal process and to prevent the commission of other offenses. The defendant has contested the ruling, and the appeal will be resolved by the Bucharest Military Court of Appeal.
