Firefighters are responding to a fire that broke out in the altar of a church in Râmnicu Sărat

A fire broke out on Saturday in the altar of a church in the Kaufland area of Râmnicu Sărat, Buzău County. The fire was spotted in time by a passerby, who saw smoke coming from the steeple of the place of worship and alerted the authorities.

According to the Buzău Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the fire was burning inside the altar, and the church was filled with smoke. No one was inside when the fire broke out, so no casualties were reported.

Two firefighting vehicles and an aerial rescue vehicle from the Râmnicu Sărat Fire Department responded to the scene, along with a firefighting vehicle from the Buzău Fire Department.
