A fire broke out in an apartment in Sibiu, evacuating 50 residents. The Emergency Situations Inspectorate intervened with several fire trucks.

A fire broke out on Wednesday evening in an apartment located on the first floor of a building on Siretului Street in the municipality of Sibiu, causing large amounts of smoke to be released.

Following the incident, approximately 50 residents were evacuated from the building to ensure their safety. The Sibiu Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) quickly mobilized two fire engines, a ladder truck, a rescue vehicle, and two SMURD teams, one of which was equipped with a doctor. Additionally, a vehicle was sent for the transport of personnel and multiple victims. Traffic on Siretului Street, at the intersection with Intrarea Arieșului Street, was blocked to facilitate the intervention of rescue teams.
