A fire broke out in an apartment building in Râmnicu Vâlcea, causing smoke inhalation for two people, including a child. According to the Vâlcea Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU), the fire occurred at the level of a top-floor apartment, generating large amounts of smoke.
Intervention teams evacuated nine people from the building, and four of them, including three adults and one minor, required medical attention. One adult and the minor were transported to the Vâlcea Emergency Room, conscious.
The fire was quickly located and extinguished, mainly affecting the kitchen and its belongings. ISU Vâlcea stated that the fire was caused by a pot left on the stove.
