On Sunday afternoon, a fire broke out in a passenger wagon of a train traveling on the Slănic-Ploiești Sud route, in Plopeni train station. Approximately 40 passengers evacuated themselves from the train and, according to the Prahova Emergency Situations Inspectorate, there were no casualties. Firefighters from Plopeni and Băicoi intervened with two fire engines and an SMURD ambulance was also sent to the scene. The causes of the fire are still unknown.
