Fire in a fast-food restaurant in Giurgiu caused by a dirty chimney

On Saturday, the firefighters from ISU Giurgiu intervened to extinguish a fire that broke out in a fast-food restaurant in the municipality. Upon the arrival of the crews, it was found that the flexible duct from the hood, the chairs, and the power cable of the air conditioning unit were burning, and the establishment was filled with smoke.

The staff of the unit managed to intervene initially with a fire extinguisher until the firefighters arrived. The probable cause of the fire was identified as a poorly cleaned chimney. The firefighters managed to extinguish the fire quickly and protect the rest of the goods inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
