Inspectors from the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted checks on the occasion of International Children's Day, verifying over 1,300 economic operators, of which more than 180 were children's recreational spaces.
As a result of these checks, ANPC imposed 817 fines totaling over 3.6 million lei and issued 612 warnings. Additionally, products worth 157,000 lei were withdrawn from sale, and 28 operators had their services suspended until deficiencies were remedied. Common issues identified include the lack of authorizations, improper food storage, and poor hygiene.
In recreational spaces, worn equipment, lack of safety information, and deficiencies that could endanger children's safety were found. ANPC continues to monitor these spaces to ensure consumer safety.
