The Spanish builder FCC Construction has been designated the winner of the contract for section 3 of the Unirii Highway, which connects Lețcani to DN 24, with a bid of 3.93 billion lei, excluding VAT, according to information provided by the National Company for Road Investments (CNIR).


The general director of CNIR, Gabriel Budescu, emphasized the strategic and European importance of this project, mentioning that the contract is expected to be signed as soon as possible. The duration of the contract is 46 months, including 10 months for design and 36 months for execution.


The section will have a length of 17.7 kilometers and will include the construction of 18 bridges and overpasses, 6 tunnels, and a tunnel monitoring center, thus contributing to the development of road infrastructure in Romania.
