Fatal road accident in Câmpulung: one man dead, another injured

On the night of May 2 to 3, a serious road accident occurred on Târgoviște Street in the municipality of Câmpulung, resulting in the death of a 33-year-old man and the injury of a 22-year-old young man. According to IPJ Argeș, the car, which was traveling from the direction of Mioarele towards Câmpulung, lost control in a curve, hitting a bridge head and then a concrete pole of the electrical network. The 33-year-old man was found outside the car and, despite resuscitation efforts, was declared dead. The 22-year-old, found inside the vehicle, was transported to the hospital, having a blood alcohol level of 0.24 mg/l. Although both occupants had valid driving licenses, investigations suggest that the 22-year-old was behind the wheel. A criminal case for manslaughter has been opened, and the investigation continues under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Câmpulung Court.
