A serious accident on the Timișoara ring road led to the death of a 31-year-old driver, after his car entered the opposite lane and collided with a truck.

On Tuesday morning, a tragic accident occurred on the Timișoara ring road, where a 31-year-old man died on the spot after his car crossed into oncoming traffic and violently collided with a truck. The incident took place under unfavorable weather conditions, with heavy snow on the road.

The man was driving alone between the localities of Giroc and Șag, and the impact was so strong that the car was propelled into a ditch. Firefighters had difficulties extracting him from the wrecked vehicle, and doctors confirmed his death as a result of the impact. The truck driver was also injured, but his condition is not serious. The police have opened a criminal case for manslaughter and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
