Fatal accident on A1: a man dead, a woman seriously injured

A serious road accident occurred on Monday evening on the A1 highway, between Timișoara and Arad, resulting in the death of a man and the serious injury of a woman. The incident took place around 6:25 PM, involving a truck and a vehicle with a platform.

Emergency firefighters from the Timișoara Detachment 1 intervened at the scene, ensuring fire safety measures and providing first aid. The SMURD crew was also requested, and the SMURD helicopter from Arad was called to transport the seriously injured victim. The victims were in the car involved in the accident.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances under which the tragedy occurred.
