On Wednesday, an explosion occurred in a house in Râmnicu Sărat, without being followed by a fire. Two fire trucks and an SMURD ambulance quickly intervened at the scene. A 74-year-old man suffered first-degree burns to his face and was transported to the hospital for medical care.
The Buzău Emergency Situations Inspectorate specified that the deflagration took place in the water heating system of the bathroom, affecting the respective room and a portion of the roof. Firefighters ventilated the premises and interrupted the supply of electricity and gas to prevent further risks. Authorities continue investigations to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
