An explosion occurred at a military unit in Botoșani, causing a fire and seriously injuring two people.

At the Military Unit O1189 on Petru Rareș Street in Botoșani, an explosion occurred in an ammunition destruction range, followed by a fire. Two people were seriously injured as a result of the incident, suffering burns while handling military equipment. Emergency crews from Ambulance, SMURD, firefighters, and police quickly arrived at the scene.

Botoșani firefighters intervened with three fire trucks and two SMURD ambulances, including one mobile intensive care unit. The fire affected an area of approximately 50 square meters. The victims were urgently transported to the hospital for medical care. Additionally, CBRN teams from ISU Suceava were requested for support.
