Explosion and fire at a warehouse in Prahova: one person injured

On Tuesday morning, an explosion occurred at a warehouse in the Blejoi commune, followed by a fire that generated a high risk of deflagration due to a nearby tank. Several emergency crews quickly intervened on site, including four fire trucks with water and foam, an SMURD ambulance, and a rescue vehicle from Ploiești, as well as mobile intensive care teams.

The incident was caused by an explosion at a tank, and the intervention aims to extinguish the fire as well as prevent a new explosion. Following the incident, a 56-year-old man suffered burns to his face, being conscious and receiving medical care on site before being transported to the UPU Ploiești. Authorities continue to monitor the situation to avoid further incidents.
