Some 4,000 troops from ten countries are taking part in the Dacian Spring exercise in Romania to practice collective defense operations

From May 5 to 23, Romania is hosting exercise Dacian Spring, involving some 4,000 troops from ten allied countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria and France. The exercise, coordinated by the Multinational Divisional Command Southeast, is taking place in training ranges in various locations and involves all categories of Romanian Army forces. A noteworthy aspect is the deployment, for the first time, of a Belgian battalion on Romanian territory, contributing to improving interoperability and responsiveness in the allied context.
