
Magnus Brunner will make an official visit to Bucharest on October 20. During the visit, Brunner will meet with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, President Nicușor Dan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, Cătălin Predoiu, as well as with representatives of the committees for European affairs and defense in the Romanian Parliament. This visit takes place in the context of the intensified support from the European Commission through the ProtectEU strategy, which aims to combat human trafficking and organized crime.
Romania is considered a key pillar of European security, and the Commission will launch initiatives to support national security, including an additional budget of 250 million euros for drones. The program of the visit includes meetings with Romanian officials and will conclude with a joint press conference.
