Engie has announced the acquisition of a wind farm with an installed capacity of 253.1 MW in Ialomița County, from the company Greenvolt Power. The project, currently under construction, will include 42 high-efficiency turbines and will become one of the largest wind farms in Romania, expected to be operational by 2027.

This investment is part of Engie's strategy to expand the production of energy from renewable sources, having a significant impact on the transition to clean energy. With this acquisition, Engie doubles its renewable energy production capacity in Romania, reaching 500 MW. Additionally, Engie has secured a contract for difference (CfD) for two other projects, contributing to the goal of exceeding 1 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030. The Engie Group in Romania, with an extensive network and a diversified portfolio, continues to invest in green and sustainable solutions.
