Man attacked by bear in Bistrița-Năsăud, shortly after a fatal incident in the same locality

A man aged approximately 72 was attacked by a bear on Thursday afternoon, near the locality of Bichigiu, in a hard-to-reach area, suffering injuries to his limbs, abdomen, and back, but was conscious and cooperative at the time of the medical teams' intervention.

The SMURD rescuers and the Emergency Situations Inspectorate intervened to provide first aid and evacuate the victim, under difficult conditions due to the terrain and weak signal in the area. The incident comes shortly after, in the same locality, a woman was found dead, with suspicions that she may have been the victim of a wild animal attack, most likely a bear.
