The railway infrastructure administrator announced that, at the Brănești station, malfunctions of the safety installations were reported, caused by the destruction and theft of essential elements. Train traffic has been restricted on Tracks I and II, between Fundulea and Pasărea.

Also, at the Petroșani station, intentional severing of the dependency and power cables was found, affecting the automatic block system between Petroșani and Bănița. Remedial work has been completed at the Brănești station, restoring normal traffic, while in Petroșani, the work is ongoing, with traffic being temporarily ensured in a free track regime. CFR S.A. has notified the Railway Transport Police and emphasizes the seriousness of these acts of vandalism, committing to collaborate with the authorities to identify the perpetrators and prevent future incidents.
