In the municipality of Galați, a drone crashed into an apartment building, causing an explosion and a fire on the 10th floor. The incident occurred recently, and teams from ISU, SMURD, the County Ambulance Service, and the Police intervened to manage the situation and provide first aid. According to preliminary information, two people were injured: a woman with first-degree burns and a 14-year-old boy who suffered a panic attack.

Both are receiving medical care and will be transported to the hospital. ISU Galați confirmed that the affected individuals self-evacuated from the burning apartment. The exact causes of the incident and the nature of the object involved are under investigation, and the intervention forces are working to limit the effects and secure the area.

Two F-16 aircraft were scrambled from the Fetești Base, supported by an IAR 330 SOCAT helicopter from the Romanian Air Forces. "The pilots of the aircraft had authorization to engage targets throughout the alert period," specifies MApN.
