A 25-year-old man from Tulcea received a record penalty of 300 days for excessive speed, illegal overtaking, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The young man was caught by the police driving at 167 km/h on a road where the limit was 90 km/h. After making an illegal overtaking and not stopping at the police signals, he was pursued and stopped. The breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol level of 0.30 mg/l, and he was later taken to the hospital for further tests. His license will be suspended for 300 days.
