Dragoș Pîslaru, proposed for the position of interim Minister of Labor, stated that the material that appeared from sources regarding the Unified Salary Law is not an official document and does not represent the final version of the normative act. He emphasized that, after taking office, he will ensure transparency and social dialogue to adopt the best version of the law.

Pîslaru called for collaboration and maturity from all involved parties, highlighting the importance of the unified salary in reducing inequalities in the public sector. The former Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, mentioned that the project will be published for public debate next week, already having a financial impact assessed by the Ministry of Finance.

Among the proposed changes are limiting the salary ratio between the lowest and highest salary from 1 to 12 to 1 to 8, eliminating certain bonuses and allowances, such as the food allowance. The project is still a work in progress and may undergo substantial changes.
