The draft law on the preparation of the population includes voluntary military service for young people between 18 and 35 years old, offering a four-month training, with a minimum salary and allowance at the end. Minister Moșteanu supports the inclusion of women in the program, and the legislative changes come in response to security tensions in the region. Volunteers will be trained in various military skills and will become part of the operational reserve of the Romanian Army. The current law is based on regulations from 2006, adapted to the current security context.
