Four senior employees of the Polytechnic University of Timisoara have been indicted by DNA on charges of embezzlement of more than 2.5 million euro of European Erasmus funds. They are accused of complicity to embezzlement and submitting false documents. In addition, the National Agency for Community Programs is a civil plaintiff for the recovery of damages. The defendant Filipescu Hannelore Filipescu admitted the facts and accepted a suspended sentence. The trial will continue at the Timis Court.
