CFR Călători launches direct routes to Varna, Sofia, and Istanbul starting June 12

Starting June 12, CFR Călători will introduce direct international routes from Bucharest to Varna, Sofia, and Istanbul/Halkali, according to a press release. The international train 'Romania' will run daily on these routes, providing a comfortable option for tourists wishing to visit Bulgaria or Turkey. The train schedule includes departure from Bucharest North at 10:46, arriving in Varna at 19:56, with the return from Varna scheduled for 09:30.


The ticket price to Varna is 27 euros for second class. Additionally, the train will depart for Sofia at the same time, arriving at 20:41, with a ticket costing 33.6 euros. Travelers will also be able to reach Istanbul, departing from Bucharest at 10:46 and arriving the next day at 09:56, with the ticket price being 57.8 euros. Tickets can be purchased up to 90 days in advance, both from stations and online, and can be delivered by courier or picked up from the station.
