The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, stated at the Environmental Council in Luxembourg that the green transition costs, but it costs infinitely more not to do it, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach between public funds and private investments to support the green transformation of the economy.

The Romanian official pointed out that investments in the climate transition are essential to maintain the competitiveness of the European economy and the trust of citizens, adding that it is time for the European Union to move from commitments to concrete implementation, and that the COP30 conference in Belém, Brazil, should mark a real step from words to results.
