Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, denounced on Facebook a disinformation campaign orchestrated by the extremist party AUR, which used AI-modified images to spread false information about the ban on grazing in Romania. Buzoianu emphasized that these coordinated posts were intended to undermine her credibility in the context of the reforms she has implemented.

She clarified that traditional activities, including grazing and haymaking, will not be banned in priority areas for biodiversity, considering that the law explicitly provides for the conduct of these activities in actively managed areas. The Minister urged citizens to be vigilant against defamation campaigns and to respond with accurate information, emphasizing that her reforms are disturbing to certain interest groups.
