Details about the suspects in the Cenei murder case. The two 15-year-old teenagers allegedly beat an 18-year-old young man, in exchange he withdrew his complaint.

The two 15-year-old boys charged with the murder of Mario had previously assaulted an 18-year-old boy, even at the end of last year; however, he withdrew his complaint, report Adevărul and Digi24.

"On December 23, 2025, an 18-year-old young man reported to the Cenei Police Station that while he was walking on the street, in the outskirts of the Cenei locality, he was physically assaulted by two 15-year-old minors, the incident having occurred on a previous date. Following the report, the police opened a criminal case regarding the commission of the offense of assault or other violence, and investigations were carried out to establish the entire factual situation," stated IPJ Timiș.

The victim filed a criminal complaint for assault but withdrew it on January 14, 2026, five days before being murdered by the same assailants.

The victim's father, Cosmin Moldovan, stated that his son was pressured by the parents of the aggressors, which led him to withdraw the complaint. The incident generated tensions in the community, and recently, two other young men were arrested for selling drugs to the teenagers involved in the crime.
