Three deliberately placed obstacles were identified on the Constanța-Mangalia railway, before the passage of a train.

Three obstacles were discovered on Wednesday on the second track of the Constanța-Mangalia railway, all of which were intentionally placed.

A track inspector identified the obstacles during inspections, including sleepers and a pile of branches. The most serious incident was a concrete hectometric marker placed within the railway gauge, at kilometer 226+400. All obstacles were removed before the train from Mangalia to Constanța passed. The Railway Transport Police has been notified and is conducting investigations to establish the circumstances and identify those responsible. CFR emphasizes that placing objects on the railway is prohibited and can cause serious accidents.
