Culture Minister András Demeter has said that cultural events could be suspended on weekends and public holidays from the fall due to provisions in the collective bargaining agreement, which require extra payments. These costs are unbearable for local authorities, most cultural institutions being under their authority. The minister called for dialogue between the authorities and the unions to find solutions.
