The CSAT meeting approved the armed forces that could be deployed on foreign missions in 2026. The Council also discussed the impact of the war in Ukraine on regional security, underlining Romania's support for US efforts to end the conflict. The CSAT condemned Russia's lack of will and underlined the importance of a lasting peace, ruling out any Russian attempt to re-divide Europe. Romania will continue to support Ukraine in defending its sovereignty.
