Cristina Mihaela Schipor, former head of the Public Health Directorate in Constanța, lost in the first instance the lawsuit in which she requested reinstatement after her dismissal by the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete. The court rejected the request to suspend the dismissal Order, considering it unfounded. The dismissal occurred following a report from the Control Body that highlighted serious irregularities, including the illegal operation of the Armonia clinic. Schipor contested the dismissal, claiming that she was not presented with concrete reasons and considering the Order to be null and void. The Armonia clinic was partially closed after the death of a patient but was reopened after complying with the measures imposed by the authorities. The Ministry of Health recently announced additional measures for healthcare units that provide services involving anesthesia, as a result of recent scandals.
