The Court of Accounts of Romania presented its report for 2023, revealing damages of 758 million lei and additional revenues of 779 million lei. In total, 1361 audits were conducted and 82% of the recommendations were partially implemented. Although there has been economic growth, public spending has outpaced revenues, creating a fiscal imbalance. The public debt reached 957 billion lei and the internal control process was considered formal and flawed.
