A 31-year-old man and his 32-year-old wife are being tried for pimping, being accused of sexually exploiting women that the man recruited using the "loverboy" method. They promised them a better life and the establishment of a family, creating an emotional dependency on him. Between 2019 and 2023, the couple earned approximately 400,000 euros from the exploitation of two young women, one 22 and the other 27 years old, in brothels in Austria and Germany.

The man facilitated transportation and controlled the women's activities, and part of the money was sent to his wife. The two invested part of their earnings in four apartments in Brașov. Prosecutors have ordered a precautionary seizure of their assets and are seeking the confiscation of the amounts obtained from illegal activities.
