Costel Grojdea, recently appointed head of the Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) Bucharest, was withdrawn from his position shortly after his appointment, following a scandal generated by images captured by Media Flux. He was seen driving a luxury Lamborghini Urus, which does not appear in his wealth declaration.
Grojdea had been transferred from the leadership of ITM Iași on March 31, and the scandal broke out on April 15, two weeks after his appointment. The Ministry of Labor issued an order to terminate his secondment to ITM Bucharest, and Grojdea will return to the leadership of ITM Iași, benefiting from a gross monthly salary of 14,722 lei, plus allowances. According to sources, the luxury car was allegedly purchased on lease by a company previously checked by ITM Iași.
