The Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare, announced a significant reform in the way fines are paid, which will allow their payment through a single national account. Following the adoption of the application norms of the law in the government meeting, fines, starting with traffic fines, will be able to be paid quickly and online. The reports will be issued electronically and will contain QR codes for instant payment directly from the phone. Nazare emphasizes that this change has been long awaited and will bring the public administration closer to citizens, providing a simpler and more efficient system. The amounts collected will be directed to the local budget of the administrative-territorial unit where the offender resides, ensuring a fair distribution of revenues.
