Alexandru Rogobete declared that the execution contract for the Cluj-Napoca Regional Emergency Hospital has been signed, marking the completion of the construction process for the three regional hospitals in Romania, with an execution period of 40 months. The former Minister of Health emphasized that this contract is the last one signed for the regional hospitals, mentioning that the project in Cluj was blocked in July last year when he took over the ministry. The bidding was unblocked at the beginning of this year, and now the necessary financial resources have been allocated. The investment for the Cluj hospital amounts to 1.8 billion lei, including 85 beds, 22 operating rooms, and an outpatient clinic with over 70 offices. Rogobete also mentioned the status of the other regional hospitals, stating that the one in Craiova is advanced, and work in Iași began in March. He concluded that all three hospitals are now under construction, having a strategic impact at the national level.
