The mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, commented on the adoption of the motion of censure against the government led by Ilie Bolojan, suggesting that Romania could enter a new political phase. Toma stated that the PSD could take over the government, with Sorin Grindeanu as prime minister, while the PNL would likely move into opposition.
The mayor emphasized that the current political configuration limits governing options, and an alliance between PSD and AUR would be the most likely, considering the lack of support from USR or PNL. Toma also criticized the lack of reforms in PSD and expressed skepticism about the party's ability to change. At the same time, he had a positive assessment of Ilie Bolojan, believing that he could have an important future ahead. The motion of censure was adopted with 281 votes 'for', leading to the dismissal of the Executive and the opening of negotiations for the formation of a new governmental majority.
