During the negotiations to form the government, Cristian Ghinea from USR accused PSD of wanting to raise taxes and of having personal interests in various institutions. Mihai Fifor from PSD replied that USR adopts an aggressive and populist attitude, which threatens governmental stability. He stressed that PSD is acting responsibly and that negotiations are continuing without responding to challenges from USR, noting that his party is working for balanced solutions in Romania's interest.
