CNAIR informs Romanian carriers that Hungary will impose weight restrictions on its roads during the Catholic Easter period, between April 3 and April 6, 2026. These restrictions apply to freight vehicles and vehicle combinations with a maximum authorized total weight greater than 7.5 tons, during the time interval of 06:00 - 22:00. Romanian authorities recommend that drivers comply with these restrictions and, after they are lifted, use all border crossing points with Hungary to avoid congestion caused by the large influx of trucks. CNAIR emphasizes the importance of adhering to these regulations to ensure smooth and safe traffic on international roads.
